EBTECH HUM X: Hum & Noise Filter
The Ebtech Hum X filters out unwanted voltage and current in the ground line that can cause ground loop hum. It also maintains a solid, safe ground. You no longer have to run your audio signal through any type of filtering which can result in loss of volume, tone or both. Some devices simply remove the ground, which is never safe! Simply place the Hum X on the end of the power cord of the equipment that has a ground loop and plug the Hum X into any standard 15 amp outlet. Ground loop is gone and audio signal remains intact. Not sure where to start, I have a system that has had a hum for years, have tried power conditioners, plugged and un plugged about everything, just recently I purchased 2 of the Humx, plugged my mains into them and the lighting system. I turned everything on, I had to recheck to make sure the power came on... there was absolutley no hum!! The sound I have now is remarkable. I am running 4 amops 3 subs and 2 all range loud speakers, plus lighting. I was truly amazed how easy this was, and to think how many hours I spent trying to find the source of the hum.
