Althought it does have a lot of features to play with, the signal would keep dropping out. I've tried on three different computers, but I still have the same problem.

I bought this mixer right as I started getting I to deejaying for money, and the longer I used it, the more I came to hate it. I used this mixer with both windows vista and xp, with a lot of effort going into getting it to work with either OS. If you have Vista 64bit, then don't even bother researching this item, it WILL NOT work ith 64bit Vista and Behringef has basically said it never will. Beyond that, the Traktor program that comes with it cripples many of the potential features the bcc would have, such as curing into headphones, it has poor sound output requiring special cords to cut down on ground loop interference, has a poorly balanced preamplifier that is almost unable at times, and the mixer also seems to simply lose MIDI communication with the PC at times, requiring me to reidentify the mixer in traktor's control panel before it would output again.
I upgraded to a Powerbook this week, and traded in the BCD for a Hercules RMX and have had a much better experience thus far. This mixer packs a lot of potential into a sturdy build quality, but is extremely limited by its software and incompabitlity with windows os.

Comments about Behringer BCD2000 B Control Deejay Interface-Good:
this mixer can be excellent; has an excellent sound but there is a background hum which makes the sound not clean anymore when used with the laptop. a friend says use usb cable with filter, i haven't tried that. huge huge hysteresis or latency in all bass, mid, treble, pitch controls; pitch must be adjusted from within the software with mouse. if you are a working dj adjusting the bass, mid etc. can be frighting as should you turn one of these controls nothing happens and then suddenly the sound will catch up to the effective movement of the control; most of the time you would have over-controlled the control leading to too much or too little effective tone adjustment and horrible sound that make the dj appear clumsy. it's not because of laptop spec. issues. great, if behringer can fix with software update.

Once out of the box I was a little let down with the quality. Right away I noticed the left jog wheel was sticking, as well as one of the sliders. Deciding that it might work itself out with use I pressed on and loaded the software. Initially I liked working with the interface. It was intuitive and was easy to figure out without reading the instructions. With further use I noticed a bunch of annoying quirks and bugs (latency issues and poor sound quality) I spent numerous hours at[...] the Behringer site trying to work out the latency and sound quality issues. After 3 gigs and 3 failures I have given up. The unit will be returned [...]and I will get the PCDJ or the Serato product instead....(and yes, the laptop is more than capable, My buddy has used it for his Serato setup and it has proven to be very stable)It's too bad, I have generally been happy with the Behringer products. (amps, mixers, etc..)

I am impressed with the quickness and the features it has for easy beat mixing and great reaction time . Everytime I use it and other Dj's see it they are in awww with its features and ability to instantly beatmix. It also has a good feature that allows you to import your playlist from I-tunes. My buddy bought one right after he saw mine. It is the best deal you will get on any dj equiptment. great for mobile dj's as well. consider this before investing in any other gear.

The BCD 2000 is a great product. It is the total package in one. This is great for a variety of people. Whether your a beginner or a pro, I'm pretty sure this controller can come of some use to all in the dj scene. You can use it as your primary scratching and mixing device, or you can connect two turntables to it and get a real vinyl feel. I know alot of dj's out their are tired of carrying around crates of vinly's. Of course the jog wheels aren't that large but you can scratch and quite effective. To those wondering what software this will run with, it basically runs with all software. Including Tracktor, the B-DJ software given, and my favorite Virtual DJ 4. So for $[...], this is money well spent. Dont wait to purchase this product, go out and buy it now!
