I am converting a large collection of records to digital files. I have a phono preamp that has RCA outputs. My digital audio interface typically has XLR inputs. This conversion cable would seemingly fix my connection problem, but I would like to know what impact this cable would have, if any, on the signal/sound quality? This short cable would'nt really effect the sound quality, but the impedence mismatch from rca unbalanced -10db to xlr balanced +4db could possibly color the sound slightly.
