Better Plugs Available for Same Price
Pros: Easy To Use
Cons: Insecure strain relief,Poor Quality,Difficult To Use,Poor Connection Terminals,Not Functional

In 30 years as an entertainment electrician I've encountered these poor excuses for heavy-duty plugs again and again, usually in the process of replacing them after they have malfunctioned. The problem is that the strain relief and terminal connections are both of poor design, and they cause a gradual loosening of the connection which makes your resistance build up in the form of heat. Eventually this heat causes the plugs to melt internally, and fail.
There are far better-designed edison plugs and connectors available at this same price point (or lower). Look for a strain relief that actually grips the cable, rather than just squeezing it as this plug's strain relief does. Also, watch for wire terminals where the set screw sandwiches your wire between two small, copper plates making a much more secure termination than possible with this particular plug.

Avoid this plug, and its female counterpart. They will only cause you trouble in the long run, if used under heavy-duty conditions.
