Comments about ANTARI S-100 2 SNOW MACHINE DMX - SILVER:
First use of a snow machine, but I was impressed... The unit is built sturdy, comes with a 30 foot corded remote with a volume control dial and off/on switch, and has a large resevor with a very good filter at the end of the suction line.
Adjustment dial really doesnt produce any snow until you get to almost 3/4 of the way up and then it is extremely sensitive going from minimal output to BIG flakes and high volume (only used it on the low blower setting due to noise) No warm up time or shutdown to recharge time, this unit rans continuously for over an hour at a time through the event (only had to shut it down due to noise when announcements/speaches/performances were being made)
I used it in with a large fan setting next to it on a scaffold about 15 feet in the air on a moderately low volume setting and it covered a 30 foot by 20 foot area of the room pretty well. I would guess if you were able to setup a couple fans to keep the air circulating a bit more it would cover a larger area without any problem.
I used snow juce from the Little Blizzard line which claimes they have the fastest dissopating snow out (we needed to be sure there was not build up or trace left by the snow on the furniture and carpet) and it worked extremely well and dissopated rapidly on contact without leaving a trace on the carpet.
Only down side as you might have already deduced is the noise... However, I have been told by several companies/vendors that all of these machines are noisy.
