It allows a computer to use its onboard or add-on IEEE802.11 b/g adapter to wirelessly stream video to the TV without any cable. Effortless Set up and Installation:
EchoView FM offers a fast and easy "out-of-box" set up and is controlled by user-friendly software which is built into the unit. When powered on, EchoView FM sows up as an available wireless network connection (similar to a WiFi Hotspot" connection) on the computers network setting. Users simply click on the connection to initiate communication with the adapter. Upon users confirmation, the software driver is then automatically downloaded and installed to the computer via the wireless connection. To send PC screen wirelessly to EchoView FM and the connected TV, all user has to do is launch the installed application.

Q:
Will this work with a wireless-capable laptop alone, by connecting this device to a monitor or projector to send computer content directly? In other words, does this work without a wireless network in the room? I will NOT have a wireless or wired network available, nor do I need one, nor internet access -- I only want to display a PowerPoint presentation from the laptop directly to a monitor, or projector with a screen, in a courtroom.
Also, does this have a distance limitation? Other devices that use USB and a transmitter and receiver seem to all have a 30' limit. I need at least twice as much distance (60' or more).Asked on 9/22/2011 by Bill from Bend, OR0 answers

I've had issues with products not adapting or working with tvs, especially if the tv doesn't have a vga port. Will this work with tvs with s-video and hdmi ports?
