As mentioned in the previous review, comes in really handy if you have several amps to tend to. Get them all "dialed in" correctly and this device will help you monitor all! I bought mine to fill a rack space. (gaps in your rack mean you don't have enough gear yet) It's really simple to hook up and cool "eye candy" in the dark. However if you don't really NEED one, then the cost IS something to think about.
Have had mine a couple of years now with no problems. I will say on smaller shows, I find myself not taking time to hook it up. Nice if you need it though!
