Comments about American Audio HP700 Headphones:
I purchased these headphones thinking I was getting a bargain, because they have the same specs as the Pioneer Headphones for half the price. From the moment you open them you can tell that quality is what i sacrificed in exchange. I did around 2 or 3 gigs with these before the coiled cable broke off of the earcup...I then went ahead and purchased the Pioneers and I really appreciate the extra quality Pioneer has placed into their product. I now have these American Audio headphones as a backup...but don't plan on using them any time soon.

Comments about American Audio HP700 Headphones:
Nice beginner set for the $$. Set is average all around. Nothing great, but nothing terrible. If you're spinning in your bedroom or at a local fire hall, they're acceptable. Anything more, you'll be advertising you're a rookie/novice. Not too mention kinda cheap. I also have a set of Sony MDR-V700's, and they pretty much put these to shame for the [$]difference. I guess it comes down to what you want to use them for.

Comments about American Audio HP700 Headphones:
These cans are very good when given to a DJ who has never experienced true DJ headphones before.
Out of the box, they had better sound than I've ever heard, but after several months they just weren't good enough for what I wanted. They simply seem to be good sound housed in poor plastic construction. They also sit loose on the head, leaving room for noise to come in. Also the cord it comes with is not stretchy at all.
I upgraded to a Stanton DJpro-3000 and the difference is enormous. Basically, these cans will work great for a backup set but if I were to do it again I'd just spend the extra money and get the better cans.
