Just plug 'em in and fire 'em up. These full-range speakers offer a 12" woofer and a high frequency horn to provide the full spectrum of sound. The built-in power amp provides power and the cabinet even has two XLR and 1/4" microphone inputs with individual volume controls. The onboard mini-mixer also has treble, bass and master output controls, as well as RCA inputs.

Great speaker for the money. I use these as a back up system and for outdoor events where my higher end equipment would take a beating. I have been using this series for over a year, beat them relentlessly, and they keep cranking. If you use these as your main set-up, do yourself a favor and buy a 12" - 18" sub. You will need it.

I'm not going to lie, these speakers aren't the best sounding around BUT they pump out a lot of sound and are very simple to use. They're great for people who aren't too tech saavy and want something for a barbecue or house party. At the price point, you really can't beat it.

i did my research on these, and alot of people say the bass is weak. i did not have any bass issues. i did a recept in a LARGE hall with no sub just the 2 12'amer audios and the sound quilty was great. im still moving up to the 15's but the 12's get the job done...

This speaker is more versatile than most other powered speakers I've used, due to more inputs. Mic and line, each w/ their own volumes, make it a grab 'n' go PA for a solo act or coffeehouse. I've used them for monitors on stage (great) and keyboard amps (impressive). The pole sockets don't seem to be quite at the center of gravity, so they want to lean forward, but if your stands are trustworthy it's not a problem (they're not the only brand that seems to have that quirk. You learn to live w/ it...). Sound quality is good overall, even better if tapping off a mixer or using outboard EQ. Very reasonably priced package.

I bought two of these and the sound quality is great. I use them indoors and outdoors, for parties and for PA applications. They can be hooked up together, has multiple ways to hook up (ie. XLR, 1/4") and I can just plug a mic to it and having a seperate volume controls helps so much. It's a great product and easy to use and easy to travel with from gig to gig. Thanks PSSL for the recommendation of these speakers. I am happy with them.

Great product for the money. Used the setup for a gig last Friday. I had to have help to raise it up on the tripod. Love the speakers though. Hopefully, I will always have a man around to help me.

These speakers would be loud enough for a party in a school gym. Most DJs for hire for a school event would also run a subwoofer to give the bass a boost and make the sound more full. A pair of these would get the job done but an added powered sub would be ideal. The PXI-12P uses a 12 inch woofer and the PXI-10P uses a 10 inch woofer. You should be able to get a deeper more full sound using the PXI-12P even with a sub-woofer.Answered on 3/31/2010 by Andrew N from Cypress CAA:
I would personally not ever use a 10" system for pro use for two reasons: 1) 10" looks very "home stereo" - I'm not at all about the "wall of sound" that alot of DJ's (who are 'compensating', if you know what I mean) go for, but people do look at your stuff, and do judge the show as much by presentation as they do sound (and in this regard 10" ain't too impressive), but more importantly 2) if you do a smaller gig (where the the sub won't fit, or just isn't needed) with 12" woofers you should have plenty of low end for a small room. 10" is not going to fill the low end (especially with these low-end speakers).
