This unit is by far not good I had it bought it august of last year it came with a messed up pitch control had that repaired then it stopped reading disc on deck 1 had that fixed now deck 2 doesn't read disc I had it fixed twice already so I will just move on to the table tops

I bought this unit in july 09,shortly after using it @ the club i play,the cd player start skipping,@ 1 time my cd got stuck.Send it back to adj,got it back,same problem.I already change drives 3 times.I must say,features is amazing if its working good but my goodness,i need something stable so thats why i switched to the pioneer mep7000.No more Numark or American Audio for me bc i wasted lots of money on my Numark cdn95,what a waste.Sometimes it make sence to spend that extra bucks & buy a denon or pioneer.
Good luck to who want to buy this cd player but i definitely WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT

i got this thang, the very first time i got this pace of sh... the lift side cd player got stuck in the club, and man i did not know what to do, i couldnt not get my cd out, a had to shut the player down and turn it back on to get my cd back, and nice man came back there to the dj booth to help me i was so shame, so i said maybe it would be ok, the rest of the night, after i got my cd out, ohh was i in for a big surpise that night, that [*] thang did it again,so i sent it back, and got the cnc88 numark,and i have not had problem since... good luck to the djs that get that peace of sh.. peace from ms dj storm......

Features are wonderful on this product, but the duriblity is at question, I have had this deck three years it has been sent back to American audio six times for the same issue it stops reading the disc on the right side five times and both sides once. I have bought this deck three times over with [...] repair cost. Living in MD and sending to CA for repairs. This is it DONE!!!

this was my second unit after the first one just froze and never came back to life... right after a year. when the warranty was over. the second unit just gave out on the right side and stopped reading CD's.. so now I'm in the market for another brand.. good unit but POOOOOOR QUALITY!!!

When I first purchased my unit, I used it for a variety of jobs: boxing, powerlifting events, bodybuilding competitions, as well as parties and weddings. It worked flawlessly and I was in heaven. I bought it when it came out orginally for about $800. All of a sudden it started having issues and became hard to "trust". I personally brought it in for repairs and they swaped out transport mechanisms. It has never been "right" since. I am sad!

I bought this CD deck 3 months ago. I've used it a total of 5 to 7 good times since buying it, and very carefully at that. A couple of days ago the right cd deck wouldn't eject the CD's nor would it read them. The cds were the same ones that I had used before, so it wasn't the audio file type causing the problem. Headaches, Headaches...

[...]put it to use where I dj at a local club. I started to have problems with it on the right drive where it wouldnt eject or play my cd (at the same time)I own 3 sets of DENON 4000'S and have NEVER ran into any problems. I won't recommend nor will I ever purchase another AMERICAN AUDIO cd player again, BUT there mixers are awesome I OWN 3 of them. Thank you Fabian Castro aka Dj.Fabe

Mobile pro dj for over 13 years, always used good quality cd players for there quality and durability. Tried these because of the so called "rating" they recieved. I now have to dj in fear until my new players arrive that the stupid player won't read a disc or skip in the middle because it can't read it fast enough or has trouble reading it, and yes I have used mp3,wave,regular store cd's, standard burnt cd's(recorded slow and at normal speed and all of the problems still exist. Please please please save the couple extra bucks and buy for quality and dependibility not 90 effects that don't work that well and a player that might work if it feels in the mood.

This is a very beautifully designed CD player. Tons of features and effects . I mainly use this at home and sometomes on the road but i can assure you, you will not be dissapointed.

Fo'real these plyers are very SERIOUS! From Packing a Niteclub to Jazz'in up a small party. These Amercian Audio players do the JOB! Don't pass up a GOOD thing that stares you right in the face!

The first dual cd mixing unit I purchased in '94 for about $1600. (A "XXXXXX"- the first jog wheel design) This Velocity MP3 is 20 times the performance at less than half the price. There are literally countless things you can do with the effect layering.(WATCH YOUR LEVELS when using effects)Sometimes It has trouble ejecting, I use a plastic popsicle stick-put it in above the cd and apply sight pressure downward and the cd comes right out. The stored samples are more hassle than it's worth because you have to load the cd and then recall the sample- no time for that in a set. But the touch sensitive jog wheel, auto bpm, effects, Digital scratching, MP3 capability... WAAAYYY worth [$]
