I was hoping the dimmer was would be better. It dims very quickly. It does not have a smooth dimming effect. Good idea, poor design.

the goosenecks are a little loose in that gravity has an effect and makes them droop a little. they are rather sturdily connected to the console unit. I haven't left them on for hours on end but would imagine they'd got hot after awhile as it doesn't use LEDs. The only other, and possibly biggest, flaw I noticed was that the plug is one of those transformer blocks that takes up a decent chunk of space. so finding an outlet to accommodate the plug could be a challenge.
