Comments about American DJ Portable I-Beam Truss & Stand System +:
We have an American DJ Motion Drape back drop. This system makes the drape easy to attach and raise, and get level. The cranks allow raising heavy effect lighting to any desired height without having to try to raise and hold the stand with one hand and insert pins in small holes with the other.However- the stands are heavy and cumbersome. If they could improve on the weight- I would like the system much better.
Pros
- Efficient
- Stirdy
- Strong
Cons
- Kind of Heavy
- Take a little to set-up
Best Uses

Comments about American DJ Portable I-Beam Truss & Stand System +:
This is a great stand for the money. I bought it "used" and the Truss was practically brand new. This is a solid truss for any mobile DJ. I would recommend getting this product for a mobile DJ whose lazy like myself and doesn't want to injure myself putting up the truss. The crank stands are great and are a breeze to use. Overall this is a great product. Only down side is it's a bit heavy.

Comments about American DJ Portable I-Beam Truss & Stand System +:
Bought this stand to replace my similar non-crank i-beam flat truss. I like the ability it gives me to crank up the stands and the setup is a breeze. Only problem is the stands are very heavy, about 4 times heavier than my non-crank truss stands. If you're looking for lightweight, avoid this. Great price though and works great.
Pros
- Easy To Use
- Sturdy heavy duty light
- Versatile
Cons
- none
Best Uses
- Any live gig
- Events

Comments about American DJ Portable I-Beam Truss & Stand System +:
this truss is the ultimate for the traveling DJ or musician. It is very easy to set up and tear down. A great feature is that the main crank poles have numbers on them so you can level it out. VERY HEAVY DUTY! But extremely light. Great product!

Q:
Is it safe to add another 5' piece to make it 15' across total. I am guessing I would have to add sand bags to the crank stands. I need to go across a 15' stage.Asked on 8/10/2011 by magicmatt from myrtlebeach, sc1 answer

Will this truss system hold a 65 lb TV in the middle?Asked on 3/1/2011 by Hupp from Phoenix, AZ1 answer

A:
The weight rating for this unit is listing at 110lb. Keep in mind that this design is for lights to be placed all along the i-beam so that the weight is therefore distributed evenly. Placing a 65lb TV in the center seems a litlle questionable. I would recommend the mini truss systems (50043) & (50044).Answered on 3/1/2011 by Anonymous
