I purchased two of these for use with my mobile DJ rig. They are nice little easy-setup pieces that I run through a dimmer pack. If you plan to use these on a dimmer, they will dim, but the speed isn't controlled by dimming, only by the knob on back. And because they're so efficient, when dimming, about 30% up is full for these strobes, everything after 30% looks exactly the same. These are nice for giving a strobe effect near the dance floor, but not good for running at a distance since they're still not quite as good as a conventional higher powered fixture.
Nice little additions for not a lot of money.
