had this set for 12 years. 2 channels stopped working after 12 years of hard mobile use. only had to replace the power unit and the still using the same switch box. purchased another for my second unit!

I've beed a DJ for 15 years and I bought the last SC8 system when I started and it was very good , it just started getting tempramental,, So I got another one... best [$] I ever spent.. This new one is even better with more features. If it lasts half as long I will be very pleased..

If you aren't looking for chase functions and just want on & off capability, this is a great controller. I bought my first SC8 controller 15 years ago, It's just getting tempermantal, and I am going to get another one just like it...best [$] I ever spent..

Does the job. Works great for sound active lights. Easy on/off controls. Easy set up. I use for mobile DJ rig. Would not recommend for DMX set up.

This is an awsome lighting controller if you are doing a DJ gig. I use this controller for all of my DMX, and non DMX special effects lighting to turn them on and off. I also use the controller to control my sound activated par cans. It is the most wonderfull non DMX controller for the price. You will not regret buying one.

The SC-8 controller can control the SRP8 power pack via the 9-pin com
cable. The SRP8 has 8 channels for output, and 1 uninterrupted power

I don't believe so, because the voltages are probably different. I don't know about this new one but the old SC8 used to use 12volt from the switches to the relay pack's relays, plus this unit does not have audio chase I believe,, a better question for American Audio...or Elation...Answered on 3/22/2010 by Skydon Music from Michigan
