Comments about American DJ SNOW-FLURRY Snow Machine:

Great for outdoor functions ,Easy start up when it works . Since Nov.2012 I bought 3 snow flurry machines ,2 out of 3 were broken , Must by extended warranty. American dj needs to test n run equip before shipping out .1st snow flurry had bad motor super loud motor n burned up . 2 snow was broken right out of box , 3rd one finally worked . Had to buy 3 snow flurry to get one good one. If I never needed a snow machine I would NOT buy this unit again!!!!!!

Comments about American DJ SNOW-FLURRY Snow Machine:

The Snow Flurry's output was nice, but so loud it could not be used to create a magical feeling of snowing. It had more of the effect of being shot with a snow blower. A quieter casing would make all the difference.
A disco or other loud environment would be fine, but home use for a small party, or event was not useful, or pleasant.

Comments about American DJ SNOW-FLURRY Snow Machine:

I have 3 of these I've picked up in the last year or two. One I bought new that worked for a month before failing (tank float switch was shorting out). I sent it into AmDJ to be repaired under warranty. They returned it 2 weeks later saying their was nothing wrong with it. Of course it didn't work. I returned it to them telling them exactly what was wrong and how to fix (their service manager was great) and it came back 2 weeks later working fine.... for two days... the pump blew up. I sent it back and they replaced the pump with a new one (I marked the old one to make sure). It failed a week later. They sent me two new machines (Great deal eh?). One has failed already.....bad pump. I'm not hard on the equipment (they have cases) and I realize these are the cheapest snow machines on the market but they need to be able to run for 5-7 minutes without pump failure.

Over 30 years as a Full Time Disc Jockey the Flurry is one of my favorite effects to bring on a gig . Adding a simple strobe light REALLY TURNS ON GREAT EFFECTS AS THE SNOW FALLS!!!or any color lighting just adds !!! I own 2 .You Must Run Clean water through or read cleaning instructions for a lifetime of uninterupted useage.

Hello, to my understanding you do not need an amplifier to run the American DJ Snow Machine. It only has to be plugged into a matching power supply. Hope this Helps. Thanks.

I work in an elementary school with very young children. If a child tries to eat it or stick their tongue out to catch it (like real snow!), will they be harmed?

I would reccommend that the kids touch the "snow" with their tounge. It also depends on the type of fluid you are using. It might be a good idea to let the kids know not to touch the falling snow with their tounge. please call 1800-268-5520 for more information.

No... It basically dish-washing detergent with rubbing alcohol in it. It tastes nasty... they won't do it a second time. :)

The power chord is approx. 2 ft. and the machine is a bit louder than a fog machine while it is running.

i have seen snow machines in action before, snow fluid and the snow acts like foam, it can get slippery but depending how much your using, as for residue i have not seen any but only a light sticky surface, as for slippery on dance floors depends how much your putting out, if your using alot, and when i say alot, im talking about using the whole bottle of fluid consistant.
