Almost as if a dream came true for mobile jocks and DJs worldwide, Serato and RANE recently announced the native support for The Denon DN-HC4500 controller as a USB controller for RANE’s Serato Scratch LIVE.

As an addition to this RANE / DENON marriage, the MP-4 mixer / DN-HC4500 controller combo was unveiled introducing possibly the most revolutionary compact DJ solution available to date.

The DN-HC4500 connects to a computer running Scratch LIVE via USB, and all the playback controls are transmitted over USB. This means that Scratch LIVE receives the control information directly from DN-HC4500. You have access to browsing and loading tracks from the DN-HC4500, and song info such as song name and artist are sent from Scratch LIVE to the DN-HC4500's screens.

The DN-HC4500 must be used in conjunction with compatible Rane hardware in order for Scratch LIVE to operate. The MP4 mixer is the recommended piece of hardware by both RANE and DENON and includes Serato Scratch Live when purchased. The TTM-57SL mixer and SL-1 interface are also available pieces of hardware that can be used with the Denon controller.
