Designed with the DJ in mind
Ideal for both remixing and production, Stanton’s ATM.6 Active Monitor is a 2-way design that combines state-of-the-art technology with the features DJs need. The ATM.6 utilizes a 1-inch Neodymium, Ferro fluid cooled, soft dome tweeter for the high frequencies (HF), coupled with a 6-inch, glass aramid composite woofer for the low frequencies (LF). Why is this important?
Neodymium is found in many of the finest monitor systems because it’s a robust material that yields extended HF response, while the Ferro fluid helps cool the voicecoil and reduce unwanted vibration. Similarly, the glass aramid compound found in the LF driver helps deliver a tight, defined low-end response. Combined, the ATM.6’s transducer complement delivers crystal clear sound reproduction with a flat, smooth frequency response free from distortion or sonic coloration.
Equally important is the ATM.6’s enclosure. The ATM.6 is made from high quality medium density fiberboard (MDF), a material known to reduce resonance and improve imaging. Further, the slotted port along the bottom of the enclosure helps reduce the port turbulence and distortion commonly found in poorly designed round ports.

An optimized power source
Another huge benefit of the ATM.6 is the fact that it is an active monitor—meaning it contains its own power amplifier. One of the biggest challenges to obtaining accurate sound reproduction is mating the studio monitor with a suitable amplifier. With the ATM.6, Stanton’s engineers have designed a bi-amplified power source that is optimized for the transducers. Delivering a continuous 18 watts for the HF and 50 watts for the LF, the ATM.6 Active Monitor combines the best of both words—an exceptional transducer complement powered by the ideal amplifier.
