This cardioid dynamic workhorse is designed for smooth, natural vocal reproduction and low noise. Equipped with a neodymium magnet for high output, and a multi-stage grille design for excellent protection against plosives, this super-durable microphone is built to stand up to life on the road. Its cardioid polar pattern reduces pickup of sounds from the sides and rear, maximizing isolation from other sound sources and minimizing feedback.

Comments about Audio Technica ATM410 Cardioid Dynamic Handheld Vo:
This is a really solid mic for the price. It's not quite an SM58 but it's almost there and it's in the same family of product type. Also a dynamic handheld microphone, looks pretty sleek with the all black design.
Audio Technica does a great job of undercutting Shure's price by a little and still maintaining a high level of quality. I would definitely say that if you don't want to pay for Shure or Samson, Audio Technica is a great company that spends a lot of money developing great products built with solid technology.
This is a well built mid level microphone. It does what it does and it does it well.
