This will "help" reduce the natural reverb of your recording area. It will not make the room soundproof but it will help. Im not sure what you're recording in your studio or the type of room your studio is in but i have had great results in using studio foam to line the inner walls of a closet. This is useful for a vocal room, guitar room, or drum room(if your closet or space is large enough for a drum set of course).Answered on 1/19/2011 by AnonymousCUSTOMER CARE

Sound proof, no. The Auralex studio foam by itself will help with eliminating any phasing or minute sound problems while monitoring, tracking, mixing, etc. If you were to install the foam in every inch of you studio it would help dampen any sound from exiting but would be far from 100% soundproof. To create a 100% soundproof studio you would have to double insulate the walls, reconfigure your electrical outlets, build on top of "floating" rubber matts to reduce sympathetic vibrations and so forth.Answered on 1/19/2011 by MO from ext 8226
