With 850 relentless watts of power, the ACTPRO-1515 is a powered loudspeaker that provides plenty of SPL while maintaining clarity and balance when pushed. The dual Celestion SP-1500 15" woofers are powered by 725 watt of Class-G amplification, providing chest thumping bass and a smooth midrange. A Celestion COMP-4-CLB compression driver receives 125 watts of power for vivid highs that are not fatiguing to the ears. For large venues, the ACTPRO1515 can be stacked on top of an ACTPRO18S subwoofer for a powerful concert style system. The new ACTPRO Series is a line of advanced, made in the USA, powered loudspeaker systems that offer the sonic accuracy, power and reliability demanded by today's professional performers. Fuelled by B-52's ultra-efficient Class-G amplifiers, ACTPRO systems deliver rich, clear sound at extreme SPLs. ACTPRO amplifiers employ sophisticated circuitry including acoustically tuned 4th order crossovers, four stages of equalization, a built-in intelligent compressor/limiter and short circuit/over-current protection. An extra high current output stage allows for uninterrupted extended play without risk of thermal shutdown. ACTPRO full-range amplifiers are bi-amped with fully discrete output stages. All ACTPRO cabinets are built in the USA at our state-of-the-art Los Angeles manufacturing facility. Each model features rugged birch plywood construction, durable, black Warnecke® paint finish and 16-gauge wrap-around steel grilles, all designed to withstand the abuse of the road. Custom Celestion loudspeakers and compression drivers are used in all full-range models. The ACTPRO12M is designed to be used as a main speaker or sit as a dedicated stage monitor. I've been DJing for a long time. I've seen speakers come and go, but B-52 is the real deal. For the last 5-6 years my main rig was the Matrix 2000. Great plug and play setup. Very dependable. I recently purchased two ACTPRO18S subs and stacked them with a pair of ACTPRO1515's. The 1515 mains are 2-way full range and can rock most venues, unless your gigs are at Shea Stadium. No problems so far with thermal overheating. The heatsinks are pretty good size. The speakers have a low cut switch, LED indicators, and a ground lift switch. The fronts have a blue LED for flair, but I'm more into great sound reproduction and a rugged build. B-52 knows how to build their speakers for road abuse. These speakers are solid. No plastic molds here. Bring a friend to help load these monsters.
