I bought this a few years ago, for the 1st few months everything was fine, but the right Cd was stuck and would not eject at all. I sent it back to get replaced and they sent it back even worse, where the CD had to be forced in. [...]. I definitely would not recommend this product to anyone at all, it's a waste of time, spend your money on a better product. Also not all time coding software works with this.

I have owned this unit for a year and average one to two parties/club gigs per week. The unit is great in that it is compact and easy to set-up and use. But, it is very unreliable. CDs get stuck, the unit skips and channels go in and out. I liked the concept so much that I bought a second one just to make sure the first wasn't a fluke......same issues. If Prodigy bothered to fix the bugs, this would be the best bargain out there. As it is, you are seriously rolling the dice if you buy it and I guarantee that you will have issues with it within the first month. By the way, the customer service at Prodigy is the worst in the industry; don't expect any support. They obviously know the machine is seriously flawed, but idiots like me keep buying it and they are collecting the doe!

After having purchased a Prodigy FX, I purchased a Prodigy. The right side cd player jammed on the very first day of my using it. The Prodigy is easy to use and because it is an all in one unit is easily and quickly set up for use. The Prodigy is missing some of the features that come on the Prodigy FX. The LED's that will alert you of clipping on the Prodigy FX are missing on the Prodigy. The track finders on each side of the Prodigy make it very easy to locate tracks on MP3 cd's that may have over 100 tracks (songs). The Prodigy also does not come with a coffin. Overall, this unit is very easy to operate but in my opinion is not reliable enough to do gigs without a certain level of stress. Reliability would always be a concern

CD's jammed both Prodigy and Prodigy FX units I purchased. Stated procedure for ejecting jammed cd's doesn't always work. After the right side cd player jammed, I had to finish a gig with only one side of a Prodigy FX functioning Apparently B-52 knew there would be problems with cd's jamming these units. With its reputation, I am/was surprised that B-52 would put products on the market before getting the bugs out. These units are a breeze to operate and the features make it fun while doing a gig. However, these units are not reliable.
