The BBE 482i Sonic Maximizer lets you truly enhance your sound for a very nominal price. It's ideal for any applications where balanced jacks are not a must (for balanced inputs, check out the 882). Since it has true dual-mono operation, the 482i offers two independent Sonic Maximizer signal processors in one chassis. Use it on a stereo signal or process two mono channels separately with separate controls. Rack this baby up and use it to liven up the sound of just about anything: live bands, home studios, mobile DJ systems, nightclub sound systems, individual instruments like bass, guitar or keyboards -- even your home stereo will sound better through the 482i. The unit is really easy to use: just hook it up and set the enhancement to your taste.
Features:- 2-channel processing for stereo or separate mono mixes
- 5-segment LED output meters
- 18dBu headroom
- RCA and 1/4" inputs and outputs
- Hardwire bypass
- Bypass switch for comparison of processed to unprocessed signal

Comments about BBE 482I Sonic Maximizer - Stereo Or Dual Mono:
I have had the 482I, actually own 2 of them, but I bought my first one roughly 6 years ago. IT IS A MUST with any system; big or small. It's a very small cost to make any system sound better with less distortion.

Comments about BBE 482I Sonic Maximizer - Stereo Or Dual Mono:
I recently bought this item..Now I only usuing 200 watt Peavey Neo 12 speakers and a 200 watt Crown amp and to be honest with you I was satisfied with what I had. But after months of being told by other jocks what this thing does I finally gave in.. Let me tell you I hooked it up and cranked it up (normally I crank up the voluime pot on the mixer all the way up) but last night I only had to pot up the mixer about halfway and got BETTER quality of sound than I did before..BUY NOW you will NOT regret it!! Heck even when I used the wireless mic last night it sounded better!!
I can't wait to try them with my powered Behringer speaqkers next!!! OH and BTW YES the MP3's from the laptop...the quality and sound was and is undescribable!!

Comments about BBE 482I Sonic Maximizer - Stereo Or Dual Mono:
This tool really works. It makes the highs crispier and the lows deeper. I receive a lot of compliments every time I play at any gig. People wonder how such small system sounds so good. With just Two 15" speakers, it sounds like having 6 speakers. I owned for 5-6 years and its enhancement is amazing.

I currently have a yamaha emx 5014 powered mixer. Can I use this bbe482 with it and if so how does it connect to the yamaha. (on the output to the speakers? Or into jacks?). CarlAsked on 3/29/2011 by carljohn from southington,ct2 answers

Hey Carl you can give us a call at 1800-945-9300 and we'll be glad to answer all your questions about the BBE.Answered on 3/30/2011 by AnonymousA:
I believe you could. The 482I is self powered, but is a doesnt really put any power of take away from the signal strength of the system. I'd sugest contacting BBE or PSSL directally to be safe.Answered on 8/28/2011 by Thomas from Columbus, OH
