BBE's latest version of their critically acclaimed Sonic Maximizer Plug-In features revised code to support even more platforms. In addition, this is the first Sonic Maximizer plug-in to be offered in music and pro audio retail stores. Now supporting both Mac and PC VST platforms, as well as Direct X, the new BBE plug-in allows unlimited user-definable presets, realtime preset changes and full MIDI implementation. The unit also has a new GUI which recalls the graphics of BBE's 482i and 882i models, on which the plug-in is based. With the Sonic Maximizer Plug-In you have the equivalent of a rack full of BBE 882i units with automation. So get ready to maximize your sound.

Comments about BBE SMPLUGIN Sonic Maximizer Plugin Software:
Many years ago I worked in a music store that sold BBE Sonic Maximizers. This was a product that we highly recommended in terms of sound reinforcement because of its ability to provide clarity and reduce muddiness (overcoming phase issues on lows, bringing out highs etc). When setting up my home studio, I decided that this was one plugin that I needed.
I use it quite a bit, though like any effect care must be taken NOT to overprocess the sound as this will produce undesirable effects. This plugin is extremely simple to use as it includes only 3 controls. It also doesn't create a large footprint in terms of system resources, which is something that many plugins do. I have never experienced any issues in terms of compatibility with Cakewalk Sonar (I am currently running Sonar 8.5 Producer, though I have used it since version 6 Producer).
