Behringer DI20 Pro Active 2-Ch DI-Box / Splitter

The ULTRA-DI DI20 is a one-of-a-kind DI (direct injection) box that can convert up to two separate unbalanced 1/4" TRS lines into two balanced XLR outputs, or function as a signal splitter. Electric guitarists, keyboardists and bassists will love the flexibility this incredible box provides.

Mono, Stereo or Double the Amps

By flipping a switch, you can use the DI20 as a launching pad for two separate mono signals, a stereo signal, or a split-signal feeding two separate amps. The DI20 also features a ground lift switch and the 3-position input attenuator can accommodate input levels of up to +48 dBu. This handy built-in attenuator allows you to connect to your amplifier’s speaker outputs, even amps rated as high as 3,000 Watts. You can power the DI20 with either a 9 V battery or your mixer’s phantom power supply (+18 to +48 V DC). The whole package is wrapped in an ultra compact, road-suitable and rugged metal housing.

  • Converts 2 separate unbalanced 1/4'' TRS line inputs into 2 balanced XLR outputs
  • Ultra-flexible: mono, 2-channel or stereo DI box operation with switchable Link mode
  • Additional Split mode (channel 1 assigns the signal to both XLR outputs)

  • Switchable input attenuation allows connection to outputs with up to 3,000 Watts
  • Input 2 usable as channel 1 Link output (additional to XLR output)
  • Ground lift switch eliminates typical ground loop problems
  • Ultra-compact, road-suitable housing
  • High-quality components and exceptionally rugged construction ensure long life
  • Conceived and designed by BEHRINGER Germany

Great Product
Pros: Easy To Use,Durable,Lightweight,Compact,Clear Sound

Absolutely superb product. I got this because we had someone coming in and performing with a guitar and piano and it worked perfectly. I found the levels to be a little high so I flicked the switch down to 20 dB and it worked like a charm. Super easy to use. I loved it.

behringer but good
Pros: Lightweight,Versatile
Cons: Little confusing

If you are on a budget this is a very affordable little gadget to have. Very versatile. Can run on battery and on phantom power. The only problem is that all the switches can confuse musicians. You have to configure it for them.

Good, but Dont use at "0" db
Pros: Versatile,Compact,Easy To Use,Lightweight

Its true what people said about the "hiss" generator -that is this product! The trick is NOT to use or set at Zero decibels, it must be at -20 or -40 to obtain decent sound.

If I insert a stereo cable into channel 1, will I get left and right channel audio mixed on the XLR out? or do I need to separate left and right signal into channel one and two?
Jay on Jan 16, 2015
BEST ANSWER: If you use an insert cable taking your left and right signal on one side running to a stereo connector on the other side, you can hook that into the 1/4" input and get a summed (combined) signal from the XLR output.
Do both channels require phantom power or can both channels be used while only sending phantom power to one channel?
Papabear on Mar 28, 2011
BEST ANSWER: It will be applied to both channels.
