Comments about Behringer FCA-202 Firewire Audio Interface:
I am actually very disappointed in this product. I bought it for my home studio and I was led to believe the output level can be controlled by the knob on the face of the unit when in fact there is no control for volume output on the device itself except for the headphone volume.
It is a plug and play unit so there was no control software included, just demos and a lite version of ableton.

Comments about Behringer FCA-202 Firewire Audio Interface:
This does everything I need. I use a small Behringer mixing board which has basic mic pre-amp. In combination with that, this interface does everything I need.
If you are looking for built in pre-amp, midi, or digital I/O you will need to look elsewhere and pay more money.
It does have a firewire passthru which would facilitate strapping on an extra peripheral. The software control panel is simple and unencumbered by additional stuff that you don't need.
It lets you select your sampling frequency, and your latency, and thats it. This unit has both ASIO and regular drivers (I'm using PC). Comes with two firewire cables (for big and small), and an A/C wall wart adapter.
