These speakers are relatively light and easily carried by the recessed handles. The carpet covering keeps them from being scratched up, and the steel mesh grille protects the enclosed speakers. The grille can get scratched, though.
The connections are only 1/4" jacks, and Speakons might be better. The 15" woofer is quite good, but it's obviously not a sub-woofer, so don't expect it to sound like one. Overall, the sound is very good but not awesome. Guitars, keys and vocals come through quite well; bass is adequate and clear, but lacks the low end punch of a sub.
These speakers are discontinued by the manufacturer, so get them while they are in stock.
