I think there are a lot of useable sounds hidden inside the v-amp pro. I haven't had a lot of luck finding them tho - some of the default settings I can't imagine anyone having a use for. I (attempt) to play metal of the heavier variety, tuned anywhere between B and E standard. I've found a few settings that sound cool through my not-so-awesome solid state amp. I've never really learned how to save my modified settings or do any complicated tweaking. I don't know whether to blame the complexity of the v-amp or my own laziness for my inability to use some of the more advanced features.
