Made the switch
Pros: Value,Great Sound Quality

A band mate borrowed one of these mics, while his normal (expensive) mic was being serviced. I was impressed. I have since replaced all 5 vocal mics for our stage show with the XM8500. They have great output efficiency and feedback rejection. They sound very warm and natural. I have never gotten more for my money.

Fantastic Value!
Pros: Attractive Design,Durable,Clear sound,Great Sound

I've got 3 of these mics, and I'm going to get more because they're that good! Some have compared these to Shure's SM58, but it's a little unfair. This mic is brighter and hotter than the Shure. Its design is similar, but the Behringer is black, with a black windscreen. It really is a great sounding vocal mic that comes in a nice harshell case with a clip and adapters to fit American and European mic stands. Great design, GREAT sound, and really a fantastic value. I don't even use my 58's much anymore because these are just as good quality, and you can get 5 of these for the price of 1 58. I love the Shures, but for the price I'm loving the Behringer a little better.

Any better and it would be a "Sure BETA"
Pros: Lightweight,Durable,Long Lasting,Easy To Use,Great Sound Quality
Cons: Noisy

I have run a DJ/KJ/VJ business for 10 years. I have worked with two different professional sound companies and have played in several professional bands over the course of 25 years. I own four complete PA rental systems and frequently run sound for bands. These mics are a close fit to the "Sure SM58". I keep several as back ups if I ever need a quick replacement or extra mic. I also sing and I am a self described "Sure SM58 BETA snob", but honestly, these are very good mics!! Most people can't tell the difference in these and "Sure SM58" mics. The main difference is the much higher noise transfer from the casing to the microphone diaphragm while handling the mic. Other than that I dare you to show me a measurable difference. That being said, I would never compair these to my beloved "Sure SM58 BETA" mics...As I said, I am a snob when it comes to that.

True professional quality at 1/5 the price.
Pros: Value,Durable,Attractive,Great Sound Quality
Cons: Handling noise

I have owned a professional sound company for 22 years. I do a lot of medium-sized festivals and work with professional artists. Believe me when I say, this is an excellent sounding mic of surprising quality. It absolutely compares to an SM58 side-by-side. I own many SM58s and many of these. I don't like to mix the two as they have different feedback frequency peaks, it's always best to use all the same vocal mics in stage. But the fact that you can buy five for the price of one SM58 makes it a no-brainer. The only downside is, there is some handling noise. Not noticeable on a boom stand, but if it's on a cast iron base stand that's being moved around, you will hear the noise of metal connecting with the stage, as well as noise if someone adjusts the mic stand while speaking.
