This is the comparable to the Sure SM 57. Out of the box this is more impressive looking and very quality built. I tried it on vocals for an acoustic solo gig and was very impressed by how warm and full it sounded. I have not tried it with instruments yet but I'm sure it sounds equally impressive. If this lasts life on the road, I will be sold on blue mics instead of sure for future purchases. Excellent mic.

This mic is built to stand up to life on the road, and it sounds great in instruments. It can handle high SPL's without breaking a sweat.

PSSL is Great! Mics too!
Pros: Clear Sound,Durable

First off, I just wanted to say how pleased I am with PSSL. The package arrived in pristine condition, and the mics were completely surrounded by paper shock pads that I have never even seen before. Great job PSSL!

The mics themselves seem very well built. I did a quick test in my cellar, using a cheap Behringer mixer, by micing my acoustic quitar. The mics were very natural sounding. They needed a little extra gain, but that is to be expected with a mic that can withstand over 150 db of input volume. The real test will be this weekend when I mic up a rock band at the local venue where I am one of the house engineers.
