I have recorded radio and TV commercial voice-overs for 30 years. "Back in the day" real, professional studio quality recording could only be accomplished in a studio with a giant mixing board and complex recording equipment. I saw the Yeti and took a chance - hey - for the price, I wasn't sure what to expect. But if it didn't work, I thought at least it would be a cool paperweight on my desk. SURPRISE! It works great. The quality of recordings made at my desk on my MacBook Pro using Audacity software (included with the mic) rival anything I would have made before in a studio. The Yeti is easy to use, flexible and built to take a beating. I throw it in my laptop bag and I can literally record a commercial anywhere. There might be more expensive mics out there, but as someone who has recorded literally hundreds of spots over the years, let me say the Yeti is great!
