Ghost notes and fills can also be added automatically. Guitar and bass players can join the action by plugging directly to the DR-880's guitar/bass input jack. Then you can play through the built-in COSM drive/amp models and multi-effects.

I use this unit for laying down drum tracks at home. For the price I feel it's a good unit and it saves time b/c you don't have to mic up a drum kit and check levels all day.

Comments about Boss DR880 Dr Rhythm Drum Machine:
The best thing about this thing is that it hooks up analog as well as digital outs. However, the sound samples only function digitally at a sample rate of 44.1 KHz, which, granted, is about the rate of CD digital, which is okay post-production, BUT in the production process, 44.1 KHz is garbage. You want to hit 96-192 KHz sample rate to sound amazing. I can't say it's a horrible device for live sound in a small venue, because I've used it for such, and it provides a decent sound, but that's just it: it's decent, and that's it. If you're in the industry for a living, this is not the product for you, but as a novice or even a talented small-town performer who isn't necessarily looking to produce a CD or make a musical name for himself right away, have at it, because this is a versatile machine for the beginner and the low-budget.
