First, I'll start off with the bad. A drawback is that it is definitely not easy to program. The reason it is difficult to program is that the GT-10 has lots of possibilities and many parameters with different possibilities within those paramters, and as usual the manual can't cover them all. The reason the manual cannot have all possibile ways functions can be used is that it would take several volumes to explain them all. With that said, this is still an excellent piece of equipment. I don't believe someone listening could tell the difference between the GT-10 and individual pedals. The effects are really top notch! Most of the factory settings are not very practical in the real world. They are JUNK! That is why it is necessary to spend a lot of time tweeking your own settings. And it takes a lot of time to do it. At least it took me a while to figure it out, and I am still learning and I have owned it for over a year. I still have my Digitech RP-10, just in case this one has an issue. That's another bad point. The GT-10 only has a 90 day warranty on labor and a 5 year warranty on parts. They should make their product to where they would have enough faith in it to offer a full 5 year warranty. The good point is, so far, I have not had any issues with mine, while I know other pickers who have. I changed to a multi-effects pedal because it would take too long to readjust the delay, set the chorus, the flange time, the compression etc between songs. When people are dancing, you want to keep them on the dance floor! With the multi-effects, you just need to write the patch number beside the song on your setlist, one or two taps on the board and you are there! Someone recording may still want to opt for the individual pedals. Another reason for the multi-effects is the expense. By the time you buy 5 to seven pedals, a pedal case, and good power supply, you could afford to buy 3 of these! The EZ create function works well, but not great, but it does give a good quick starting point if I need to create a new sound or dial up something quick in a rehearsal. I love the looper in this thing. Great for practicing lead timing and it works great for patch editing. You can lay down a rhythm track, play it back while you practice your lead riffs, add a riff to it and play a second harmonic riff and just edit away. Or, you can save a riff and play it back during your gig! This is an excellent processor and you can get any tone out of it that you can imagine, and some that you stumble on to. If something happened to this one, I would replace it in a heart beat!
