Comments about CERWIN VEGA 152 INTENSE SERIES 15IN 2WAY SPKR MI +:
Ok right up front I need to say that one of these RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX had a bad 15" driver. Sounded like the coil/cone wasn't mated correctly to the magnet driver. With that said, Vega did honor the warranty and replaced it.[...]Now for the actual review! I've had these for about one busy season of mobile work now and have had no problems. Great cabinet, sounds really good for a passive full range box. Not too heavy and can handle just about any size amp. I do hate the trapezoid shape, doesn't fit well when packing gear. Also for some reason the speaker stands I have "stick" to the cabinet. They're hard to get apart at the end of a gig. Not a biggie, but worth mentioning. Personally I like the carpet, takes dents and dings better and with a lint brush can look almost new in just minutes. Do yourself a favor and get covers, make 'em youself if you have to, doesn't cost much and will REALLY keep them looking new longer!I checked out several cabinets, these are priced right and really seem to deliver. If you need passive cabinets these will do just fine.

Q:
How do these cerwin Vega T152 compare to the JBL115 or the Yamaha Club S115's ? I'm looking for speakers for vocals in our rehersal room, but would like to be able to use them for mains if needed. The Yamaha's sound a little more mid focused than the JBL's, but the JBL's highs aren't so great. I'm looking for something that has the lows of the JBL's with better highs and than can handle a little more wattage.Asked on 11/1/2010 by Anonymous1 answer
