Each custom designed driver uses legendary Cerwin-Vega! technology for maximum cone excursion and voice-coil efficiency. A unique and striking cast aluminum grille doubles as a heat-sink to minimize power compression and optimizing driver performance. Constructed of hardwood with the option of a Coolex? polyurethane paint or high-grade black carpet finish, Cerwin-Vega! continues to offer a uniquely high-quality product.
The CVA-118 is a high-performance, compact 18-inch active subwoofer with 700 watts of efficient power output. The legendary Cerwin-Vega woofer design is reflected in this 18-inch woofer offering maximum bass performance with extreme power handling and exceptional low-frequency response. The CVA-118 features built-in amplification for an integrated, all-in-one solution with a powerful 1400 watts of peak power output. A unique and striking cast aluminum grille protects the woofer from, while doubling as a heat-sink to minimize power compression and optimizing driver performance. Housed in a compact hardwood enclosure design the size of a standard 15-inch subwoofer footprint, the CVA-118 is highly portable and durable with the option of a durable Coolex? polyurethane paint or high-grade black carpet finish. Along with XLR and 1/4? TRS connectors, the CVA-118 has Master/Slave output connectors that allow for multiple CVA subwoofers to be daisy-chained together using a single signal. This compact active sub also features a 35 mm pole-mount socket to accommodate a satellite speaker for full range performance.

By far, the best speaker outside of EV. I love the EV line but the prices on the powered subs for EV were too high. I had always used Cerwin Vegas for bass in the past, which provided that clean bass sound to any track playing. I wanted to upgrade my sound to something smaller and more stable. With Everyone at Pro Sound Stage & Lightings, I was able to make the smart decision and go with the Cerwin Vega without contemplating. I believe if you listen to the clarity, no other models compare to the CVA models. The JBL (you are buying the name brand), Mackie (Not Reliable and not enough kick), Bose (Too Expensive but amazing if I had the funds I would go with this system L1 Bose), Cerwin Vega (JUST PERFECT AT 700 WATTS) The only thing I wish it had was a set of Caster's so that I can move them around with ease. They are a bit heavy due to the sturdy cabinet but this would be an excellent feature if added later.

Cerwin Vega Has been my choice Since 1978 Ive have tried EV,Yamaha JBL & Mackie nothing come close to a Vega Bass but B52's are close as for the weight you have to expect that but I still wish they were a little lighter Gator 2225-24 bag will help with transport and Keep them looking great Love the New grill
