Upgraded version of the popular 4BAR, 4BAR Flex provides added flexibility and additional features including DMX capability. Two floor stands are included to maximize setup possibilities and configurations while a pass-through hole easily mounts the fixture to most tripods or speaker stands without the need for additional clamps. It also features two additional power outlets and mounting options for adding additional wash or effect lights. 4BAR Flex includes a free carrying case.

The mounting bolt on the back of the lighting bar will break off if there is no suppoprt under the lighting bar.
The promo videos do not make this clear. You must have support under the lighting bar when mounting to a vertical light stand.
I use Four 4Bar Flex systems. One has a broken rear mounting bolt. The other three have always had underneath support and rear bolts are intact.

Upon receiving 2 4bar flex from Chauvet, I noticed one bar was new as advertised...the other had obviously been previously used. The coax connectors were hooked up the wrong way so they were in front of the light and also when turned the screw clamp for the first time...the metal threads that the knob handle screws into the stand had a weld that broke and can never be used again. Luckily I was able to use a c-clamp in it's place and get through our show we had the next night. The lights themselves performed as advertised.

Though intended for DJ use, also handy for small room mood washes or interior architectual lighting. Also some theatrical uses were short throw color lighting of set pieces or interiors are needed and you want to free up circuits for higher wattage incandescents. I purchased for multiuse studios where renters can be everything from small high school proms to wedding receptions as well as small classical series and dinner theater occur. Used in conjunction with RGBW PARs good for small plays.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Used this great product a couple of times at a small club and worked really well. Easy to setup, very bright, and covers a large area with no problems. Very happy with this purchase so far!
