Comments about Chauvet Color Strip Mini DMX RGB LED Color Bar:
This is a great light. I needed one more light for my truss. Its bright for led. Great for nightclubs. It give a wide wash. I do a small promotion outside. I use a big sot strobe & mini color strip. It does the job all night. Adjust the light on bright setting channel 21. If you turn off sound activate it goes faster. The price is affordable only like 100 bucks. I shop at pssl now. Im done with[@]. To over priced. I hope helped you djs.

Comments about Chauvet Color Strip Mini DMX RGB LED Color Bar:
After looking into uplighting and also wanting to add something new to my light stand I discovered the ultimate brite light in a very small package. The color strip mini is by far my favorite light to run at my shows. They are very pleasing to watch from an audiance stand point and they light up the floor, room or walls with ease as they run through a variety of color changes and rgb sequences. I mount 2 on speaker pole mounts with 1 or 2 other leds for smaller shows and all I get is compliments on these mighty minis. I love this light.

Comments about Chauvet Color Strip Mini DMX RGB LED Color Bar:
I use the Color Strip Mini in my lighting set up with my mobile DJ events. I own three of them and will probably buy more. I run them in DMX mode to create bright color schemes or in sound activated mode to let it set the mood all by its' self. The mounting bracket base is short which makes it hard to tighting a butterfly nut on a clamp but that is just a small problem. I would recommend this product to be used in many lighting effect applications.

Comments about Chauvet Color Strip Mini DMX RGB LED Color Bar:
These are a great replacement for stage lights. They have some very exciting effects and chase patterns. Two of these crank out plenty of light for a small to medium venue. Adding more is easy or going with the full sized colorstrip should be plenty for large shows.
I was impressed with the quality as well. An external controller is a plus. The sound active mode works great but the chases patterns go faster when the music is off.
I found them to be well worth the money. I love LED lighting in general and these colorstrips get the job done.

A:
This depends on your budget, your expertise and what else you are running. If you only have a few...you may consider some cheaper software...many titles are available from many manufacturers. OR use the Martin Freekie. You can easily control them if you learn how to use it. Sound activation is always there for ease of use. And I think they have preprogrammed stuff- but we never use it. We run them with a lighting console.Answered on 5/25/2011 by Reldan from Syracuse, NYA:
Richard, I started with 2 of these myself and all I did was link the two units with the proper cables and punched in one of the many pre programs for an exceptional light show. I'm not sure I'd get a controller for two of these units but if you purchased more units for uplighting I might suggest one of the chauvet obey controllers. Regards and good luck.Answered on 6/6/2011 by DJ Malarky from Albuquerque, New Mexico
