Comments about Chauvet Intimidator Spot 250 DMX Moving Yoke +:

For the price, these just can not be beat!

They are nice and bright, decent stock gobo and color selection. Weight is a bit on the heavy side and mounting brackets are decent as long as you are mounting off a truss using C-Clamps (those using odd size truss or clamps other than C-Clamps will have a little more difficulty in mounting)

I did run into a small quirk with the fixtures, they seem to internally stick on the wrong DMX setting, even after you address them. The solution was to run the address digits thru each number and hit enter a few times. This took us about 2 hours of trail and error to get to work. Once we had them set on the right address, so far (fingers crossed) no issues.

We've only had them installed in a club for 6 months now, have not had to do a maintenance call yet.

Only other drawback is not having a 2nd gobo wheel and zoom features, but then again for the price what you do get is outstanding. Perhaps a firmware update in the future would resolve the DMX address issue.

Comments about Chauvet Intimidator Spot 250 DMX Moving Yoke +:

These fixtures are decent. They are going on the front of our stage. They move quick and the gobos are cool. I like them slightly better than the Peral River Solo 250. Usually not a Chauvet fan, but this is a good buy. Same output as other 250 lights, not a Martin light, but a good light nonetheless.

They come with a mounting bracket that bolts onto the fixture. This bracket, then has the holes in it that you will mount your clamps onto. Depending on how you mount these, this can be hard as the clearance to get your hands inside the mounting bracket to attach it to the fixture can be small. Using c-clamps and tour grade truss is best. Mounting directly to a ceiling or other as built structure (or cheap small truss) can be tricky.
