Comments about Chauvet LED DMX Linear Color Wash/Strobe Effect:
This product throws a lot of light, one might say a little too much. I had to throw some window tint on it, in order to make it acceptable for mobile dj crowds. There is no dimmer in the dmx channel, and you cannot customize the light patterns. All of the light patterns are pre packaged. The American DJ version is a little more expensive, but a better product.

Comments about Chauvet LED DMX Linear Color Wash/Strobe Effect:
These lights pack a great punch for their weight and size. Low power draw, bright, easy to set up. My only complaints are the thin plexi covers for the L.E.D.S (cracks easy, Arriba AC-210 will help prevent this). One of the best bang for your buck these will last you a long time. They work awesome with C clamps as a stands for the floor when up-lighting walls.

Comments about Chauvet LED DMX Linear Color Wash/Strobe Effect:
This is a really excellent fixture, and far brighter than you would think. Tons of options with or without DMX control. One of these is enough for your average mobile DJ, two would be cool though for a better chase effect. Hard to explain the brightness of this fixture in words, watch my video review, and you can see :) Reason why I give it 4 stars instead of 5, is because I really wish they would have provided an option for dimming the brightness for certain applications. Other than that, excellent.

Comments about Chauvet LED DMX Linear Color Wash/Strobe Effect:
I bought 2 of the colorstrips. And they are bright! I might even add some window tint to them to tone the down a little. They wash the dance floor great. And they make great eye candy for the "wow factor". It's alot easier for me to set up 2 of these on the top of my truss instead of 4-8 LED par cans. Very nice indeed!

Comments about Chauvet LED DMX Linear Color Wash/Strobe Effect:
The night clubs i work at, Barrowed Bucks in sioux falls, sd has redesigned the dance floor to go more green. All the DJ's Helped with the designs and were a little bit hesitent about the color strip. but after testing one, we purchased 36 that surrounds the edge of the dance floor and 4 more in the center for a total of 40 LED Color Strips. They are very effective for strobe, ambient lighting, the works. I personally purchasing two for my mobile rig... maybe six. Go Green, Go LED go Chauvet color strips! ~Practice N Enjoy!

Q:
Is this fixture appropriate for theatrical use? Do they flicker when dimming? Are they bright enough to compete with other theatrical lights? Also, are they good cyclorama lights?Asked on 2/10/2010 by Anonymous2 answers
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
They have very smooth transitions in color and dimming. This may be used for Stage/DJ/Theatrical. Also uplighting is very popular with this.Answered on 2/11/2010 by Leroy from Cypress, CAA:
The lighting on this product is very intense. I would not use this for theatrical use as it does not have a dim capability. Try the American DJ light bar which has this ability.Answered on 2/23/2010 by Soloboy from Newport News, VA
