this light is incredible. i never owned a moving head fixture before. ive been djng for 10 years and i decided that it was time to invest in a few of these. they are incredibly light weight and can sit on top of speakers or get mounted on a truss.

the built in programs are just ok. there are two for both sound active and stand alone. one keeps the head more on the ceiling or eye level for when the lighting is sitting on the base and the other keeps the head more to the floor and eye level when mounted upside down. you really get the most out of these using dmx. a really great feature on these is the built in memory which allows the user to program up to 255 steps using the light itself. there are basic and advanced operation modes which give you many possibilities for programing if youve been using dmx all your life or are brand new.

the 3 facet prism looks great with the gobos, and does not distribute the light to the outside like some other scanners and moving heads do with prisms. the middle stays as bright as the outside when the prism is on.

separate gobo and color wheel plus rotating gobos and color wheel makes this light extremely versatile for many different applications from mobile dj to night club. the inverted pan and tilt makes these lights really do some crazy visual tricks when set.

overall, this light is a must have for anyone who is looking for a great moving head at a very reasonable price. this light does just as much and maybe even more than some others for double the price. i am very happy that chauvet made this light with so many features, and really keeps the buyer in mind for different settings the light will be used in.
