Finally an uplight/downlight that makes sense. No more searching the venue for power outlets or extension cables. Simply plug one light into the back of the other...GENIUS!
The Slimpar has changed the world of LED wash lighting by replacing heat-producing parcans and faded color gels with consistent color mixing and virtually no heat. Now you can carry 10 slimpars in one bag with one hand knowing your colors will be consistent gig after gig.
The SlimPAR 56's slim 2 inch thick house casing allows it to go where other PAR cans don't fit. The fixture offers 108 red, green and blue LEDs with 3 or 7 channels of DMX control. Also provided are static colors and RGB color mixing with or without DMX, built-in automated and sound activated programs and a variable speed pulse effect.

Hello,
I own 6 Chauvet SLIMPAR56's, they are Great little lights. I have them in a home Music Studio Called the Peacock. The room is set up to look like a small Theatre complete with a Full working stage and sound/lighting booth. The lights are perfect for what I need (a nice bright wash light)I run them DMX. I would highly recommend them to a band of any size, Dj, or small Theatre!!

These lights are great for weddings and any show that need mood lighting. You also don't need a controller to use these lights! So don't waste your money on one. The lights have controls on the back and can be linked together with a cable easily. They are a great buy, but have extension cables at hand. - DJ XCELL

I have waited years for this.I was going to get the par 38 and then the par 56 cans. But people were complaing about its not high off the ground enough for uplighting. So I waited for a better LED par can. Well here is the fix for that. Very Bright. It stays cool. I bought ten of them and use them for uplighting. Great. The only thing that would make this slim par 100% is a longer power cord.

I used these lights in less than one week of getting them in the mail. I lit up 20ft pillars at a phenomenal facility and the light beam went all the way to the top. My client absolutely loved the effect. This lighting system is going to allow me to book more weddings at a higher price point.

I've bought the Slim Par 56 lights and I'm very impressed with the brightness, size and design. I have use the Slim Par 56 for uplighting behind my dj area and in the corners of a ballroom. The lights are very transportable. I use a shotgun case to protect and transport the Slim Par 56. I plan to buy more.
I plan to buy the other members of the Slim Par series when available. Great product.

Q:
I see most recommendations and comments about the Slimpar56 related to uplighting and/or truss-warming. I was wondering how practical these would be in a stage application for a band. I have 10 traditional halogen Par56 and was considering replacing them with Slimpars. We play mostly small venues (bars, small clubs) so we don't have to light a particularly large area. (Stages may be up to 20' x 10' if we're lucky!) Trying to cut down on weight & heat. What do you think?1 answer
A:
The Chauvet Slimpar 56 would be a perfect replacement for the traditional halogen par 56. With the LED technology in the Slimpar56 you would not have to worry about duty cycles or lights burining out quickly. Plus LED's are much brighter than halogen lights. You man also want to look into the ADJ Mega Par Profile. American Dj has a "jelly" series of the light as well as a "Go" series which is battery powered.Q:
I have 10 from ceiling to floor. What is the most efficient (cost/spacing) to downlight. (the space is 50' x 90')1 answer
A:
10 of these lights would be a great option to go with to downlight.Q:
I understand they can be red green and blue but can you mix the colors to form for ex. purple, yellow or teal without a controller??1 answer
A:
Yes. You can do this with or without a controller. Without a controller, you have switches on the back of the unit to toggle through and mix the color's.Q:
I am planning to use this recommended lighting mounted on the ceiling to add frontal lighting to a church pulpit, what is the recommended distance from the light to the pulpit area?1 answer
A:
This slimpar will give you more of a backlight. If you want something that is more direct, I would recommend looking at Altman Ellipsodal lights.Q:
How bright is it? Never understand why LED lighting manufacturers and sellers make that nearly impossible to find. Anything like lumens, equal to ??? watts, even candle power would be better than nothing. PSSL is a great leader so why not set the bar for others to follow?1 answer
