It says it is a 45 watt light but it only draws 17 watts. Am I missing something?

BEST ANSWER: Each color (RED,GREEN,BLUE) Put at Maximum output totals 45watts...
While each individual color a max out put totals 17 watts, Only one color per LED "bulb" Diode.
What software is required in my laptop to successfully link and control via DMX. Also can these be controlled using a lighting board? and what is required to use a board
Clyde on Mar 2, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Any DMX lighting control software with an included interface would work just fine. The SlimPar 64s can be controlled with a lighting board or console. Nothing is required to use the board except a connection to power.

Great Light
Pros: Efficient,Runs Cooler,Bright,Long Beam Throw,Easy Setup

Compared this to the the smaller 56 and 32 slim par models and went with this 64. They just throw the light longer. Saving up to buy more. Just be aware of portential hum in your speakers if connected to a bad or ungrounded outlet.

Easy set up great up light
Pros: Easy Setup,Runs Cooler,Efficient

I have been a Dj since the early 80's and this is one of the most versatile lights that can be used for dance floor, up lighting, spot lighting, etc.
Easy to set up and easy to transport.
For best results you need at least 10 of them. I would like to have 24 of them!

Affordable lighting
Pros: Bright,Easy Setup,Runs Cooler

I bought the SlimPar 64 RGB and RGBA to test. I was not satisfied with the RGBA because it was not as bright as I expected. The RGBA subtracted RGB leds and added the amber ones, causing the primary colors to be not as bright. I returned and got another RGB which I am happy with. I use for my professional video production studio and also rent to clients for events, staging, videos, etc.
