The MIX-R1U is a Professional Single Space (1U) audio mixer, equipped with two stereo channels, each with a 2 band EQ adjustable gain and a ultra-bright blue LED VU display meter. The front mounted XLR microphone input with auto talkover allows for easy connection while the auto talkover feature will help prevent against microphone feedback. Your second microphone can be connected via the rear mounted 1/4" microphone input. The built - in 1/4" headphone jack with amplifier allows for cueing. And the balanced XLR output is perfect for any professional installation.

We have used this in a club for less then a year for background music in one area of the club, sound keeps cutting in and out and finally the left channel on channel 1 on the board dropped to half the volume of the right channel. This is VERY light use I have had cheeper mixers that lasted years longer with no issues at all.

What you gain in rack space units, you may sacrifice in the depth of this unit. I could not mount it over the CD drive unit of my CMX-3000, so where I wanted it, right above my head-unit, now it has to be at the top of the row, above a blank spacer plate.

A lot better than the price these things used to be when they first came out. I'm using this as my secondary DJ setup. My primary one uses a Rane MP-2 and Cortex is the only other company that I've seen that makes a 1U rack space mixer. If you can't afford the Rane version, go with this.

I use this mixer as part of my backup systen. It is used with the Cortex HDC 3000 in a Carry along gig bag. I needed the mixer to be small enough to fit with the HDC 3000 in the bag and it did. The sound is nice and the controls work well. I just wish it had more inputs.
