I use this amp for practice but I'm sure it would be fine for recording or intimate live play. The amazing thing about this amp is the clean tone. And for a 15 watt amp it is LOUD, this is probably due to the 12" speaker. A 15 watt amp with great clean tone and a 12" speaker for under $100, whats not to love.
