I use this amp in my home studio. The performance is crisp and just what I was looking for with home studio work. For an entry level or beginner amp, you can't beat the name, the incredible 3 year warranty and the price!

IM a dj who uses this similar amp for home studio. I have the 202a series while this is the 202d series..the difference is 100w/chosen resistANCES(8,4,2ohms). I run my 3-way custom built(internal crossover) speaker system, which requires a minimum of 290watts/ch of output.This is what the 202d puts out at 4ohms(300w actually). my 202a puts out 200w/channel at 4ohmz and it delivers great amount of power. I only need to turn the volume to 1 o'clock before i clip. this amp would give me perfect power and its a CROWN(reliable) I would reccomend this to anyone no matter what the stereo application might be, just make sure the power requirements line up for best performances. so if your on a budget and need a reliable amp i would say these are a safe bet(I should know ive bumped this amp for an average of 4hrs a day,5 days a week, for the past 4-5years. But if you have the extra cash go for an amp with selectable frequency calibration, I hear they sound much better for specific applications where matching the range of highs and lows really matter. great working amp!!
