I use this product to manage the sound for my different Professional DJ set-ups. It was super quick and straight forward to set all the parameters (EQ, gain, cut-off frequencies, etc.) for each system and store the settings for easy recall later. It is many units combined into one rack space, which saves space in the rack and money if one were to buy all the components seperately. I have been using this unit for almost 6 years and love it!! I highly recommend this unit for anyone involved with music play-back appications!

The DBX Drive Rack looks and sounds great -(when it works). Expectations of a piece of equipment in this caliber is extreme durability for touring. This is not that piece of equipment - It should be noted that when an equipment dealer has a section labeled "refurbished" and the DBX is on the list - buyer beware. I however bought a NEW one. It worked for two (2) turn ons and crashed! - I use two of these units and am leary each time I flip the on switch - (which by the way, is reverse from most everything else in the rack)i.e. down is ON.. [...]It lacks an important factor in touring equipment - durability. It never made it to the first job - [...] I can say that it is a great piece of equipment sound quality wise. Great soft clipping and ability to keep expensive speaker cones planted firmly in their basket under stress. NOW, if they can be trusted for actual real life rack use!

What a great piece of equipment. I am pleased with the ease of setup. I also love the RTA capability. Switching parameters is easy even during music performance. This unit is not really built for active speakers that already have built in crossovers. However, the customization possibilities are great. The alignment delay is useful for subs that are a few feet forward from the mains. I wish DBX would of put in an actual time delay in this unit. Great unit!

I have had my DBX DPA for about 2 years and it has performed 4 nights a week without a problem. I fell in love with this product because I was able to get rid of so many processors (x-over, comp/lim, eq’s) and replace it with this single rack space unit.
It has many preset speaker and amp configurations built into it so for some Dj's/Club owners this product is ready to go out of the box. I had purchased my amps and speakers from a manufacturer not listed on the presets. Which meant that I had to input custom settings and really learn the DBX but after about an hour I was set up.
I immediately noticed that the system had more headroom, Zero 60 cycle hum, and less feedback. So am I pleased, Yes. I can't imagine DJ'ing without my DBX or having to go back to the poor sound of my systems past.
