The Denon S3500's are the best cd turntables out-to-date. In terms of versatility, flexibility, sound quality and customizing no other CDJ comes close. The Pioneer 1000's do not spin and the Technics DZ-1200's have a distorted electronic sound. As for the new numark cdj's I have never tried them and they dont look to promising especially for that price. Regular Technics 1200 vinyl's with Serato Scratch Live are also nice however you can also use the 3500's with that program. Overall you can't go wrong with these CDJ's no matter what you are trying to do.

Comments about Denon DN-S3500 Table Top CD/MP3 Player:
I bought 2 in 2009. I love the feel, price, heck everything. I had other DJs play on them and they said the same thing after they used dual cd decks. So why use Pioneer when you can buy Denon for the fraction of the price. "Keep on spinning the WHEELS OF STEEL" does not matter CD or Vinyl.

I was told that when I switched to CD's I needed to buy the CDJ's. I tried the CDJ's and did not like them, I tried the Denon S3500 and it makes you feel like you are spinning vinyl. Coming from a vinyl background, this product makes it all worth wild and is the only choice you should make.

Comments about Denon DN-S3500 Table Top CD/MP3 Player:
This unit is great, easy to use and set up, i have used the pioneer 1000's and this does eveything the poineers can do for for 3/4 less the price! I use two of these units with serato and i haven't had a problem with them yet, only small issue they have is the clip that holds the platter down tends to come off at times (Maybe should be made out of metal)Other than that these units are definately a good buy, the on board effects are a brezze to use and sound great...I'm planing on upgrading to the 3700's soon! Keep up the good work denon!!! Pioneer Better Watch Out!!!!! PSSL fa Life!

Comments about Denon DN-S3500 Table Top CD/MP3 Player:
I use my 3500's in a mobile DJ setup, works great with Serato. The spinning top is the greatest, because I'm form the real DJ generation and all we used was vinyl, so coming over to the 3500 with the vinyl feel is great. The clip on top breaks easily so I got a ton of them. It sometime seems to over heat, Denon put a heat sink on it. I will upgrade to the DN-S3700 as soon as they are available. No pioneer for me. I have had mine for almost 4 years.

Comments about Denon DN-S3500 Table Top CD/MP3 Player:
These are great machines, feel like turntable. Great effects. The only problem that I found, is some file of mp3's not work in low bit rates. And the VBR Files don't have effects and other functions only the disk like old turntables ( of course the pitch is work and the pitch bend), but my solutions is record that file again and process in the PC. In my opinion this is one of the best Cd machine in the market, for DJ's who have Turntables and want change the vinyl for cds.

I've had mine for a little over a year, and they play great! the hot starts are excellent, also you can do a lot of creative playing. They also let you use loops and copy it to the 15 second onboard sampler and the effects are fun to play with, over all these players are worth buying.

Comments about Denon DN-S3500 Table Top CD/MP3 Player:
You can't beat the direct drive of the platters which emulate the record and feel of a Technics 1200. The unit has a few audio tricks which aren't bad and the display is spot on. CONS: the cds sometime take a long time to load, and some cds aren't liked by the 3500. That will royally screw up a nice mix. The electric cord doesn't come off the unit for easy storage or moving. It doesn't have a USB2 or Firewire 400/800 jacks. I wish it had a buffer of 2 minutes so you can still play a song and eject it and start up another. Other than that, its a great unit and easy to mix with.

Comments about Denon DN-S3500 Table Top CD/MP3 Player:
I have worked with CDJ 1000s and the 3500s. My personal preference are the Denons because of the easy transition from vinyl to CDs. I still play vinyl in my sets so the 3500s are a perfect with the turning platter. Plus with the onboard effects I can spice up my mixes. I own two of them so I recommend them to beginners, intermediates and professionals.

Comments about Denon DN-S3500 Table Top CD/MP3 Player:
I simply love these things. I've used the Pioneer CDJ-800 and the Pioneer CDJ-1000 and hands down the Denon-3500 are better. My only problem with them is that it takes them a little longer then the CDJ's to load mp3 cds, but besides that I love them. They are easy to use and the hot start buttons are easier to use then the CDJ-1000. The look of the 3500 is awesome as well. They look great at night at the club. Well worth the money.

Comments about Denon DN-S3500 Table Top CD/MP3 Player:
I am a old school DJ who has been using vinyl for 15 years. I wanted a CJ played that could handle heavy scratching while keeping the sound clear. This CD player does just that. I also like the special effects this unit has. I would say the only bad thing about this unit is that you can't bend for a long time plus you can't use your fingers to slow the cd down like you can with vinyl. If you are looking to make the switch from vinyl to CD this is the unit for you.

Comments about Denon DN-S3500 Table Top CD/MP3 Player:
Revolving platter with 33 and 45 rpm settings, excellent platter response, simplified functions, durable construction and intigrates easily with Serato. The ideal choice for someone crossing over from Technics 1200s (Like Myself) to CD players!!!
