The DN-X1600 Digital DJ Mixer, offers superb sound quality, durability, reliability, operability and visibility. Based on the same core engine as Denon DJ’s flagship DN-X1700, the DN-X1600 is an extremely affordable and versatile four-channel digital mixer with a variety of features perfect for all DJs and electronic musicians, from professional club and touring DJs, to party DJs and bedroom mix artists. Denon’s engineers have provided every capability professional DJs will require: working with vinyl, CD, digital files, DJ software applications via laptops and USB storage devices. In addition to its stellar digital mixing capabilities, the DN-X1600 provides an exclusive MIDI control UI area for functionality and ease-of-use for the rapidly growing PC DJ market.
The DN-X1600 features a simple spacious layout, with highly tactile controls widely and logically laid out to enable easy operation during performance. This unit features large high-quality rubberized knobs, studio quality 60-mm Alps custom channel faders, high-visibility VFD display and extended 16-point LED channel and output metering. A first for any DJ mixer introduced to date, the DN-X1600 is also equipped with V-LINK, a function developed by Roland Corporation® that allows DJ performers to simultaneously integrate audio and video. Connecting devices that support V-LINK to the mixer’s MIDI terminals (such as the EDIROL V-4 or V-8) make it possible to perform a wide range of visual effects linked with the tempo of the music.

Comments about Denon DN-X1600 Multi Channel Digital DJ Mixer:
This was a fantastic mixer with features galore, more than most will ever need.
But the channel faders, 'which are of good quality and have curve options aplenty',
Are only held together by two tiny screws, one at top of fader and one at the bottom. I have had this x-1600 for about 2 weeks, and last night the 3rd channel fader dropped straight into the mixer. Before this happened, our tech guy from our crew said it was odd that those 'ups and downs' had wiggle room to the left and right.
This is an awesome mixer, I won't spend time retelling all it's features, but I loved this mixer. Still do, but it's on it's way back to Pssl right now, and I don't want
another one, huge design oversight there! You spend that much on a mixer, and
you wanna trust it. Thank god I wasnt at the club with it.
Pssl was extremely helpful in getting me the pioneer 700 as a replacement.

Comments about Denon DN-X1600 Multi Channel Digital DJ Mixer:
This mixer has great build quality. All the knobs & faders have a solid feel to them. The internal effects is great additional tool included. There are alot of MIDI buttons/knobs that are mappable. However, some knobs that you would have expected to be mappable are not (particularly the gains and monitor knobs). No one has been able to map the channel meters as of yet, as it's been very difficult to accomplish. I've only had it for a little more than a week and haven't fully played with all the MIDI mappable controls as the mapping process is still new to me. I'm using this with Traktor Pro and dual Kontrol X1's. I would definitely recommend this mixer as a stand-alone mixer. As for using it with Traktor, I would probably wait to see if the mixer does indeed become Traktor Scatch certified.
