I used to be a die-hard Denon fan. But after my experience with their new equipment I think I'm going to take them off my shelf. I had this mixer for just over a year before the sound started leaking between channels. It was just out of the 1 year warranty so I sent it to get repaired. Total repair costs to fix the one channel: [$]. For that money I might as well buy a new one. I'm not sure what happened, but the quality of Denon has definitely decreased. A lot of my new equipment by them has broken. (S3500, HD2500, X500)Also, the pre-amp volume is very low compared to some of the Numark and ADJ mixers I have used in the past. It seems that I really have to crank the gains to get some quality sound output....Otherwise, the features and intuitiveness of the unit is nice.

We have two of these units - used every weekend.First problem to occur was the CUE got very picky - sometimes you had to hit them several times before they went ON/OFF. Big pain...The BIGGER overall issue is with the other unit. After about 6 months the crossfader went...oh well[...]Order it, put it in and bam - crossfader smokes and burns up. Brand new crossfader destroyed.As far as decent priced RACKMOUNT mixers this seemed to take the cake. Only other options we considered were Numark. The bill for a Pioneer wasn't in the budget.Do yourself a favor and get a Numark instead. Not as nice but they last. Worst thing that happened to the 10+ year old one we have is replacement crossfaders....

This mixer is easy to use and so far has shown good quality. To get good sound, it needs to be crank. Pre Amp is low.I Like to fact of separate controller for effects and accurate controls. Does an excellent job with Mic controls. Accurate sound. I will recommend this product to any Dj who is looking for a good basic start up mixer.

This is a great Mixer. Denon really knows how to build a product. It looks well with my DN-D4500 CD Player in the SKB shuttle case.
My only complaint is, as I have worked in many clubs on RANE Mixers, I would have preferred a LOUDER Output on the Headphones. I use Pioneer HDJ 2000 Headphones, it could just be they are not well matched.

Pity. DENON was the leader in the DJ scene.
I guess trying to keep their price down, they sacrificed on quality. Owned many DENON products
before and they lasted up to five years without worries. This one here started giving me trouble in the first six months. Also, I agree with others, TOO LOW PREAMP SOUND LEVELS.

I love this product. It allows me to easily hook up eight different sound sources, and fade each sound source into each other. It definitely comes in handy, being a KJ and a DJ. I can fade a Guitar Hero contest performance, back into the regular dance music, and then from there to a karaoke song if someone wishes to sing. I definitely recommend this mixer to anyone who needs to use several sound sources.

After One Year , I had several problems , First the headphone jack broke and everything came out distorted . Second , The Sub out didn't work anymore . Third , Music Leaked in between channels when cueing . I'm very unhappy with this mixer . When I went to get the headphone jack fixed , it took over a month to get the replacement parts. I would take it back to get repaired but with so many problems , I'm better off buying another mixer .
