I'm not sure what to say about the people who have said their headphones have broken; these are built 5x stronger than any other pair of DJ headphones on the market today. Their sound quality is amazing...on big bass songs it's almost like having a small subwoofer next to your ear.
As for the people who complained about the headphones being uncomfortable, pretty much every set of serious DJ/remix headphones are quite heavy, and inherently rather uncomfortable. I found these more comfortable than my Sony headphones that broke. You get used to it after a while.
As you can probably see in the pictures, the headphones have reinforcing screws in the locations most prone to breaking in other models. My Sony MDR-V700's broke a few months after purchasing them, and I know countless other DJ's who have complained about their headphones breaking.
I've owned my pair of Denons for about a year & have treated them the same as the sony headphones that broke after a few months. I try to be careful with my gear, but the Sony headphones just fell apart.
I can see no cracks or damage to my denon headphones. The main reason I purchased these headphones is that this was the only pair that seemed to be designed with durability in mind.
As far as I'm concerned, these Denon headphones are the best, most durable currently on the market.

At first I would have strongly recommended others to buy these headphones but they break the same as the cheap no name brands. The DNHP1000's DO sound great and worked great... until the right head phone broke off at the swivel. Shortly after it fell completely off. These headphones sound great but low-quality craftsmanship is not worth the price. Look for a more durable product.

Comments about Denon DNHP1000 Professional Headphones:
Mine haven't broken yet and I sometimes leave them on the floor, but they stay mostly around my neck. The netting in the middle of the ear pads is thin so for my ears there is a small amount of sharp pressure, but I take care of that by lifting off one side for like...a half a minute...I get a lot of complements when I wear them at school! I clicked Yes, I would recommend this to a friend because I already did!!!

I am very pleased with this head set. It allows me to listen to my ipod and other home equipment without out side noise interference. The clarity of sound is amazing. Thanks to my coworker I made choice of this product. I plan to continue to do business with you as I update my home music system in the future.
Sincerely,

Have you ever been to a gig whith no monitor... It Happens!!!!!!! You can mix rather easy in these headphones because they are so loud(Caution THEY ARE REALLY LOUD!!!!!). Its like strapping two monitors on your head. I will say they do break I am on my second pair but you really have to abuse them in order for them to break.... Like sitting on them will do the job rather easy... Its simple if a pair of headphones last a years worth of playing in clubs they have paid for themselves. Plug them into a rane club mixer and your ears will bleed lol.

I love my Denon Equipment, Will never use anything else... Except maybe Headphones. Mine Broke at the Joint above the ear piece... Why? I don't know, I would like to think I don't abuse my equipment, but last job ended up ripping the right side speaker completely off the mount, simply cause it broke all the way through finally. Now what do I do? Buy a new Pair, or invest in a new brand...

Comments about Denon DNHP1000 Professional Headphones:
I have used these headphones for about a year now. The sound and isolation of them is excellent. However I have a larger head and these headphones will get extremely uncomfortable after about an hour of use. The only reason I would not suggest these is sheerly due to the lack of padding on the headband.

- Improves Sound Quality
Cons
- Breaks Easily

- Short DJ gigs
Comments about Denon DNHP1000 Professional Headphones:
I have used this product at home and in the club/event environment for almost a year. Just last week the headstrap just above the joint snapped in half, just like my last two pairs of Sony MDRV700's. I have never abused any of my gear as it cost me way too much, but for the price these could have been stronger considering the size and weight of the drivers.

Comments about Denon DNHP1000 Professional Headphones:
I have been DJ'ing for 12 years. I did a lot of research on all the popular brands as well as this less well known headphone brand. These headphones blow the high end techniques and pioneer headphones out of the water. The frequency response is amazing. The large drivers help predict sick bass drops in the mix. These are soooo much more rugged than any of the competition. The way they cup your ear is amazing when mixing on large sound systems, as they prevent outside noise from disturbing my que. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to these incredible and delicious head phones!
