Comments about Digitech EX7 Factory 7 Expression Pedal:
I actually found the pedal fairly easy to operate, Digitech made this one a no-brain-er. Decent wah emulations and distortions plus the rare Digi Space Station and Whammy. I use it mostly for the Uni-vibe and Rotary Leslie speaker sim which sounds nice. The effects with expression pedal is a plus and also doubles as volume pedal. The one draw back with the pedal is that you can't isolate the distortions and use the unit as a distortion pedal. They have to be used in conjunction with an effect, example... EH [*]w/Uni-vibe or Ibanez TS808 with Cry Baby wah etc.. you don't have to use any distortion fx at all. So if you're looking for a compact unit and you dislike too many pedals this is great even for recording demos etc. I got the optional foot switch accessory which makes it a breeze to operate and dial in functions. Extremely durable and heavy. Overall wide selection of options and a neat selection of effects which can be tweaked and fine tuned. A bit pricey but I found it worth it. Digitech has always produced fine FX units.

Comments about Digitech EX7 Factory 7 Expression Pedal:
This pedal is great for carrying around with a small 100 watt tube amp and setting up in small corners, like in bars and coffee houses. It allows for a broad sonic spectrum, however, it'll take a couple of days of experimenting with the different setting and a note book to record the settings (I just draw pictures). It took myself another week to get aquainted with the optional FS3X footswitch. The EX-7 has a steep learning curve but once I got over the hump it gave me the ability to really spice up the "old standards" and loose myself in some good ole Buddy Miles.
